Welcome to Ghost of a Podcast. I'm your host, Jessica Lanyadoo. I'm an astrologer, psychic medium, and animal communicator, and I'm going to give you your weekly horoscope and no-bullshit mystical advice for living your very best life.

Welcome back to Ghost of a Podcast. I record this with a really heavy heart because not only has Trump won the American presidency, but he won it with the popular vote. That's deeply rattling to me and I'm sure many other people. I will say that, in honesty, as soon as Trump got the nomination back in 2016, I feared we would get to this day. And here we are. We are at the dawn of a new era.

I know that a lot of astrologers and astrology students are looking at Pluto in Aquarius and seeing it being this sort of utopia. But if we're being honest, that's just not realistic. When using astrology, it's important that we don't use it divorced from the realities that we find ourselves in, right? Listen. A 2025 Trump presidency is not going to be anything like the one we had in his first term, just like the second term of Hitler in Germany was nothing like the first.

And I do not believe it is fearmongering to acknowledge the risks that sit before us, to acknowledge how the majority of us are in peril, really. There's a lot of things I'm going to say about this, and there's a lot of time in which to say it. I want to try to keep a simple and clean message. I want it to be clear. It is this: feel your feelings. Make no mistake that spending time in the comments section and other emotionally encompassing experiences are a distraction.

You don't need to fight with anyone right now. I mean, listen. I don't know. Maybe you need to fight with somebody. But this is a time for feeling your feelings. The time for action will fast occur. But when you are an individual or when we have movements where there is no emotional foundation—there's not the emotional evolution—what happens for you as an individual is you don't change. You talk about being different. You adopt the language of change but not the behaviors of change.

In order to actually change, we need to emotionally transform. The same thing happens at our movements. We can put "Black Lives Matter" in the profile picture on social media. You can bang on pots and pans for doctors and nurses during the height of a pandemic. You can wear a pink pussyhat. There's a lot of things you can do to signal your values, your alliances, and those things are good. They're good. However, if those things are not paired with emotional evolution, emotional excavation, change—change, a willingness to explore and to be uncomfortable and to evolve—then it's the picture, it's the language, of change without actual change. And we need emotionally intelligent, actual change.

So feel your feelings right now. You're numb? Feel numb. You're terrified? Fear is good. Feel your fear. You're angry? Whatever you're feeling, feel it. We are at a time where it is in our best interest to accept that half the country earnestly, fervently believes that reality is different than the other half believes. Now, this has been long developing, but here we are, right? I am worried about you, and I'm worried about me. I'm worried about us.

It is really important that we do our best in our actions—in our actions—to protect Trans people, to protect disabled people, to protect Queer people, children and their right to education, and the separation of church and state. We need to protect immigrants and people who are racialized, Black and Brown people. We need to protect women and reproductive rights, body autonomy for half the population. This can be done on social media, and it can be done with blue bracelets and pink hats and all of these things, but that is the very, very, very, very least. Those are just little signals. Signals are good. Signals are great, but they're not the same thing as actions. I signal that I'm going to turn in my car with a little signal thing. I signal, but if I don't actually take the turn, then I'm just being confusing.

We gotta take actions. You may have some very difficult decisions, difficult choices to make in the coming days and years. And the truth is that many people will center their own comfort and safety over the welfare of others. That is how it goes. Over these last several years, the way I've seen most people abandon masking, I knew that we would end up here. It is because when masses of people don't do the simple things that they can do to protect the most vulnerable, it tells us about the movement of a society.

And given the astrology that we are in right now and that we are on the precipice of in 2025, there's no other way for it to have gone, unfortunately. I mean, I shouldn't say there's no other way for it to have gone. There's always many ways for it to go. But caring about each other with our actions when it's inconvenient, when it's not fun, when it puts us at personal risk—most of us aren't doing that most of the time. And that needs to change. It needs to change.

The next six months are frightening with Pluto opposite Mars. But it's worth naming that Pluto moves into Aquarius soon, on November 19th, and with it, we will see a shift in the surveillance state. We will see the risk of feeling more separated from each other. Again, I'm going to talk about this a lot more in the coming weeks and years. But let me give you this important directive: practice kindness. Practice kindness for yourself and for others. Acknowledge your own carceral ways of thinking and behaving, and seek to understand emotionally the underpinnings of it, not so you can excuse it but so you can evolve.

For my American friends who understandably and correctly feel like a Trump presidency in many ways will be the end of our world as we know it, it is important to remember that much of the world is already moved in the direction of fascism and continuing to move in that direction. And as I've been talking about for many years on the podcast, we are living under similar astrological conditions to World War II, which was also a time of strongmen leadership.

There is not one nation that I'm aware of that is untouched by the unrest, unpredictability, and shift in values that we are experiencing here. Do yourself a favor and learn from history. Learn from how other nations have historically dealt with fascism, what happens under fascism, and also what is happening in other nations around the world when a dictator takes control. As Americans, we have a tendency towards American exceptionalism: the only thing that ever happened and the only thing that will ever happen is here.

So look outside of yourself. The world is big. It's always been. But especially now, it is time to act in ways that reflect your values and your spirituality, not by virtue signaling—although, again, there is a value in signaling your values—but with actions. But with actions. Gentle reminder, especially for my white friends, carceral, punishing behaviors and thinking is what got us into this Christian white supremacist fuckery that we're in. If we want to change, we need to use new tools, different tools. And I gotta say kindness is underrated. Kindness doesn't mean being a pushover. Kindness doesn't mean not fighting. It is the greatest kindness to fight for marginalized people. It is the greatest kindness to give yourself the space to have your emotions, to grieve so that when you are able to act, you do it with your whole energy, with your whole self.

While we're at it, this is your friendly reminder to use an end-to-end encryption when texting with your friends, especially if you are organizing or discussing political matters or something around your reproductive system. While I'm gently reminding you of things, WhatsApp, which I know so many people love to use, is owned by Facebook. It's a Meta product. Try Signal. It's a great tool. This is not an ad. Just try Signal. It's a great tool. And while we're messing with apps, make sure to delete your period-tracking apps. If you're somebody who could procreate, consider an IUD or re-upping on whatever birth control method you use.

And this is a great time in 2024—we got a couple more months of it—to get your paperwork in order. This very much includes a passport. Pluto in Aquarius—have a passport if you can. I know not everyone can, but if you can, get yourself a damn passport. Get all your papers in order. With Pluto in Aquarius, the powers that be may seek to not only surveil us but to separate us so that we feel alone, so that we feel isolated. And between having our heads in our devices and late-stage capitalism constantly struggling, struggling, struggling just to make ends meet, just to survive, and COVID, we're living through really isolated times.

It's like we're super connected on social media, but we are really separated from each other in many ways. We're not as community-based as we could be. And this is by design because the truth of the matter is, when we are well resourced, when we are connected, we are stronger. When we forget that we're the majority, when we're hopeless and scrambling to survive, disconnected from the universality of our problems and our struggles, the way that your problems and your struggles—even though they are perfectly individual to you —are also systemically created and you are living a shared experience with a huge amount of people—when we forget all that shit, we're easier to control in every way.

Don't let your fear have you isolate yourself and protect you and yours at the expense of others. That takes real strength, real emotional vulnerability and strength. But it's what we all need to be moving towards. This is a time to remember your power and your responsibilities to yourself and to others because responsibility is only the ability to respond. That's all it is. And this era is going to be demanding of us all. It has been demanding of us all. The astrology is troubling, at fucking best. And real strength takes emotional accountability, emotional resiliency. It's a practice.

You're not supposed to be perfect. You're not supposed to fix the world. Get your saviorism in check. Be a part of the community. If your community is 3 people and 12 cats, I respect you. It doesn't matter if it's a big community, small community. I speak as an introvert hermit person. Community can look a lot of different ways. Your participation in community can happen on a lot of different levels. But find people you're connected to, that you're accountable to, and build.

Okay. Now, there's one more thing I want to say before I get into your horoscope. So, in terms of getting more into American political content, a lot of that stuff I'm doing on my Patreon. And I want you to know that some of it you have to be a paid member on my Patreon, but you might not know that you can join my Patreon for free. So you can become a member, and I post content from time to time. So sometimes it's weekly; sometimes it's a couple times a week. Sometimes it's less. But I do post content, including the November 5th election chart, which I did post to all of my free members as well as my paid members. So, if you do want to be following along with my work off of the podcast, you can join me over on Patreon for free and get some of the content that I create. And of course, if you join at the highest level, you get all of it. But feel free to join me there.

Let's get into your horoscope. We are looking at the astrology of November 10th through the 16th of 2024. And this week starts off as fucking heavy as you would expect. On Tuesday, November the 12th, we have an exact square between Mercury at 12 degrees and 42 minutes of Sagittarius and Saturn at the same degrees of Pisces. So it's a Mercury square to Saturn. Now, this transit is depressing. It's just straight-up depressing. Mercury is your mind. It's your attitudes. Saturn is depression. It's scarcity. It's limitation. Mercury is your friends. It's your social plans. And Saturn is consequences, responsibilities, cancellations.

When Mercury forms a square to Saturn, what can happen is you lose hope, especially—Mercury happens to be in Sagittarius, optimistic and resilient Sagittarius. And Saturn is in kind of anxious Pisces. There can be a real demoralization under this transit. Now, what it's good for is concentration, focus, doing a tedious task that requires repetition. That's a good use of this energy because it's basically all that it's good for, is getting in there and figuring it out, getting it done. Do you have to read an instruction manual? Okay. That's actually a good idea.

If you have to make plans for your personal life, it's not as helpful because Saturn can put you in a scarcity mindset. You are likely to see the glass as half empty under a Mercury square to Saturn. This is, therefore, not a good time for making decisions or choices. Given what's happening in the world, it could be very easy for us to just be really controlling, sharp, mean with others or ourselves out of fear. This is just kind of a depressing transit. And so use this information to temper your activities.

It's a terrible time to be on social media. You don't need to be scrolling all the damn day. This is not a great time for processing in a relationship or trying to develop a plan and get clarity. This is, instead, a time to do something that needs to be done, that just takes some hard work. It is a difficult transit, but it is not without utility. So lean into the utility if you can.

Now, on the 13th, Mercury moves into its Retroshade because it is going to be Retrograde on November 25th through December 15th. So it'll be Retroshade from November 13th until the 24th, and then, bada-bing, 25th of November, it is Retrograde. The Mercury Retroshade is not a Retrograde. You gotta make plans? You gotta buy a plane ticket? You gotta sign important documents? Excellent. Get it all done. Now, it's just you're going to start to feel things kind of muddier during a Mercury Retroshade than you were when it was station direct.

Now, that said, let's talk about the November 15th Full Moon in Taurus. This Full Moon is the Moon in Taurus with the Sun in Scorpio because Full Moons are always when the Sun and Moon are opposite to each other, not just by sign but by degree. Here we have the Sun and Moon at 24 degrees in their respective signs, and we have a very tight conjunction between the Moon and Uranus. Whenever we have a Moon/Uranus conjunction, we can expect a couple of things. The first thing is the unexpected. Uranus governs the unexpected. So things are likely to change. They're likely to heat up. There's going to be spontaneous explosions. People do not hold it together when Uranus is on the Moon, let alone Uranus being opposite the Sun.

This is a transit that really stimulates the nervous system. So Uranus is the nervous system; the Moon is your emotions. So what happens when your nervous system is egging on your emotions, especially if your emotions are fear or anger? Again, anything goes. Also, it can be quite explosive. Things are not likely to be as they seem this Full Moon. Not only is the Moon conjunct Uranus, but Uranus is opposite the Sun, and that means there's going to be reporting that's not fully vetted. There's going to be last-minute changes that change everything. There's going to be a gossip.

If you hear some sort of news, you can't necessarily trust it during this Full Moon. Whatever it is that comes up in the world, in your life, in your heart, give it 72 hours before you decide that it's a permanent or real thing, okay? 72 hours. It's not a long time. Just give it a moment to breathe. This will be especially difficult because Jupiter and Mercury are opposite to each other in this chart, furthering the risk that people are going to say shit before they know shit, that there's misinformation or disinformation and propaganda up the wazoo. Also, your desire to jump to conclusions will only be paralleled by other people's desire to jump to conclusions.

This is not a great full Moon for listening to other people. But it's really important that you listen just as much, if not more, than you speak. That's how we stay curious and open. That's how we learn. And the potential of learning, really, really learning—right? Because, as I was saying earlier, learning—it's not just a cognitive process. It's an emotional process. So the potential for actually learning something new and adapting is here this Full Moon, but it will take a willingness to evolve emotionally, not just mentally.

Now, we don't want to forget, not for a fucking instant, that Mars and Pluto are opposite to each other. Violence is activated around the world, and this is relevant for world affairs, but it's also relevant for the energy with which you are holding something, the energy with which the person you're interacting with is holding a thing. It's relevant for traffic. It's relevant for how we move through the world and the energy with which we do so. This chart—I can't shake it; it keeps on reminding me of the DNC convention back in August of 2024, where I really expected something surprising and dramatic to happen. And there was not this big, explosive thing that I had expected.

Now, at that time, it wasn't in exactitude of a Full Moon, but the Sun was at 27 degrees of Leo, and the Moon was at 24 and a half degrees of Aquarius. So they were almost exactly Full Moon, and it formed a T-square to Uranus at 27 of Taurus. So it's right around the same degrees. The Sun/Moon are now at around 24 or 25 degrees of fixed signs. Back in August, it was also fixed signs. And so there is such a similar astrology happening that I can't help but wonder if there's going to be some sort of important connection there, that there's going to be some sort of important shift with democrats here in the United States or with the DNC in general. But maybe this is just an aside.

Now, back to what you can expect on a personal level, it's important to remember that we are dealing with fixed signs and what that means for you on a personal level. You're likely to feel challenged to let go—because Full Moons are always about emotional release—of something that you don't feel particularly comfortable letting go of. Now, Taurus is associated with your values and the value you hold in yourself and your relationship to the embodiment of your values. Now, Scorpio is deep. It's in your shadow.

When we see a tension between the Sun and Moon in these two zodiac signs, we see the tension between acting the ways you actually want to act versus the ways that convention would have you behave. Be willing to confront your values, not the things you talk about. No, not your stories, not your narratives. That's for a different transit. Confront your actual values, the things you emotionally center day to day, and your actions, the things that your actions suggest are your values. And if you find something inside of yourself that you are not super excited about, know that a Full Moon is always a time to release, to let go.

And a Pluto/Mars opposition, which is active during this transit, is going to have your hackles raised, your survival mechanisms activated, your defenses on the most aggressive high alert. And it may actually not be that you're experiencing that; it may be that other people are experiencing that. And so my advice, again, as I said early in the episode, is to not waste your energy. If you're going to fight, fight somebody who has power over your life. Don't fight fucking strangers on the internet. If you're going to perform labor, let it be impactful and not just virtue signaling.

This is a time that is deeply consequential. And because we are dealing with a Full Moon, all your emotions are going to be rising to the surface, but not just yours—mine, theirs, all of ours. That can be explosive. That can be revealing. And that can be really, really upsetting. So be intentional and strategic about where you put your energy. Not all agitations are really the thing. Go deeper than what it appears to be on the surface. Don't let appearances—Taurus—be the thing you latch on to. Go deeper to the value underneath a thing.

As I said, a Moon/Uranus conjunction, a Sun/Uranus opposition, is very stimulating to the nervous system. It comes with surprises. So notice your tendency or your inclination to center your security and stability over engaging with the truth, over changing, over growing, over adapting. Just notice it. It's a Moon transit. You're meant to be emotionally aware, to be emotionally engaged. That's what the Moon wants. Don't be in such a rush to prove to other people that you think the right thing, that you do the right thing. Don't be in such a rush to add more data to the mix before you emotionally process what you've already put in your belly. You know what I mean? Digest it.

The last thing I'm going to say about this Full Moon in Taurus is that the Moon in Taurus is related to an emotional connection and embodiment of value. And you have value. You matter. What you feel matters. What you do matters. And that, this Full Moon, is something for you to practice embodying, not just for your own welfare, your own wellness, although certainly for that, but also because having contact with your own value, even if you are an imperfect person, empowers you to be able to perceive and to hold holy the value in others. And that is a beautiful fucking thing. It is a thing that we need, and it is a thing that gets tested during the transit of Uranus in Taurus, which is a many-years-long transit we have been going through. We have a couple more years yet. Uranus in Taurus is conjunct this Full Moon. So there is something radical for you to slide on into this Full Moon in Taurus.

That brings us to the last exact transit of the week. On Saturday, November 16th, we have an exact opposition between the Sun and Uranus. The Sun will be at 25 degrees and 14 minutes, and Uranus will be at the same degrees of Taurus. This opposition will be exact at 6:45 p.m., but it is of course an extension of that Full Moon chart and that Full Moon event. This transit is destabilizing. It can make you feel like you're running on empty or your nervous system is just zingy, like it's throwing you off your center. You may feel really busy and like you can't keep up or like you just have a lot to keep up with. Some people will feel a lot of nervous tension, like nervous anxiety. Other people will feel excitement.

This energy—Uranus in general, right? So Uranus with the Full Moon, and certainly Uranus opposite the Sun, is revolutionary. Uranus is rebellious, eccentric, and revolutionary. As I always say, Uranus doesn't promise us any one particular person's revolution. But in regards to what we see in the world, we're going to see revolutionary developments, unexpected things or things happening in ways we didn't expect. Uranus is related to electricity. It governs electricity. And so we may even see problems with grids. We may even see tech issues and, again, surprises.

On a more personal level, you may experience some sort of unexpected change; something happens suddenly. And that change may be coming from inside of you. It may be outside of you. Oppositions tend to be experienced and expressed oppositionally, in other words, through relationship between us and them or me and you. So the thing to do is to be open without losing yourself, to be adaptable without compromising your values.

Things may all of a sudden come together or all of a sudden come apart. And either way, it would behoove you to be interested instead of trying to jump to conclusions. And we live in a world that loves a jump-to-conclusion moment. However, be open. I'm going to say the same thing I said about the Full Moon: whatever it is that happens on or around this date, give it 72 hours before you make decisions about what it means or where it's going because Uranus is unpredictable. And sometimes, like I said, things are not as they seem. So let things play out just a little bit.

And if you find yourself snapping at people, yeah, then try to rein it in. You may have to apologize for the things you said or the way you said them during this transit, and that's okay. Apologizing for the shit you do is actually a pretty cool thing. So do your best, and also, if you find yourself acting out, own it. Own it, and then keep on moving.

And that, my friends, is your horoscope for the week of November 10th through the 16th of 2024. Very briefly, on the 12th, we've got a Mercury square to Saturn. On the 13th, the Mercury Retroshade begins. On the 15th, we've got a Full Moon in Taurus. And on the 16th, the Sun will be exactly opposite to Uranus.

Now more than ever, I hope you are brave. I hope you are kind. And I hope you take good care yourself and others. And I'll talk to you in just a couple of days. Bye.
