Welcome to Ghost of a Podcast. I'm your host, Jessica Lanyadoo. I'm an astrologer, psychic medium, and animal communicator, and I'm going to give you your weekly horoscope and no-bullshit mystical advice for living your very best life.
Welcome back to Ghost of a Podcast, where we break down the astrology of the week ahead, and we look at how it's going to affect you and the world around you. This week, there's an important shift in the energy. And I am recording this on Saturday the 8th, and I can feel it already. Maybe you can, too. I'm going to break down the astrology of what it is, but before I do, I got some shit to say, per usual.
We're only a few weeks into the 47th president's reign, and I think, first of all, I should just pause at that. It's only been a couple of weeks. It has not been a full month. This past few weeks has felt like six months, and I know I'm not alone in feeling that way. This has been a very intense process, and it's just getting going. And your overwhelm and my demoralization and our feeling helpless and hopeless—that is by design. It's so important, now and moving forward, that you find ways of grounding your energy, centering yourself, pacing yourself through all the scary, threatening, and bad news, and that you do this while also choosing joy and levity and humor and play. I'm not encouraging you to dig your head in the sand, but I'm also not encouraging you to allow their strategy of terror to work.
If you're too overwhelmed and scared to pay attention to the world, to navigate your life, to advocate for yourself or others, they win. They win. And the thing that I see happening that is just so corrosive after only a couple of weeks—a couple of weeks—is the incredible strain on people having to go to work day after day, live as though everything were normal, when things aren't normal, when a lot of us are just really freaked out about our safety and the safety of the people around us, like core safety, the safety of the planet—the safety of the planet.
And this isn't just affecting Americans. The 47 is threatening other nations, credibly threatening other nations. And it's disruptive across the world. So I want to, first of all, just fucking acknowledge you, acknowledge that you may be feeling pulled by really intense emotions, yet having to just kind of act business as usual in your day-to-day, and how bananas that is. It has this effect of fraying your nervous system, fraying your mental health, fraying you spiritually and emotionally. And the best move you can make in response to that is self-care. It's making sure that you have other people that you're talking to—whether they're in your physical community, they're people you connect with on the phone, they're people you connect with online—to process what you're going through, process what you're thinking, what you're fearing, the latest news you're hearing, whatever it is.
We know, because we study Pluto, that when you feel like you're all alone, when you feel like no one really gets what you're going through and nobody could possibly feel what you're feeling, Pluto starts to function in its most destructive way. That destructive way could mean you're kind of intense towards others in a way that pushes them away when what you're really trying to do is bring them closer. It may be that you act in ways that are really mean and not helpful towards yourself, and so you feel awful all the time, and you're less effective in navigating the things that are important to you.
As astrology nerds, we know that our Plutonian issues are best healed by bringing them into the light. Now, anything you bring in the light has a shadow. That's part of it. That's okay. It's okay to have fucked-up thoughts and feelings. It's okay to be resentful and then guilty and then scared and then enraged and empowered. You can have all the feelings. Have all the feelings. Just don't try to do it alone. And for some of you, that's going to be a lot easier than for others. You may or may not have easy access to people who perceive the world the way you do and perceive the threats and experience the threats that you're experiencing in the way that you do.
For some people, if the threat isn't coming for them, they're not that worried about it. And for others of us, a threat to anyone is a threat to everyone. And that's not a theoretical concept. That is a belief. That is a spiritual and emotional and psychological reality that is deeply felt, and that leads to empathy fatigue real quick. That leads to burnout real quick. And again, that shit is by design. So don't try to go it alone. Don't try to go it alone. I'm creating lots of resources on my Patreon, a lot of them for free, so all you have to do is become a free member, and I'm sharing energy work exercises and all kinds of other hopefully very supportive stuff for you there. And of course, if you join on the paid level, there's more content. But I'm trying to make as much available as possible while I still navigate my relationship to social media, as I know a lot of you are doing as well.
One more thing I want to say about the world—if you're in the States, there is an app, and I've talked about it on the podcast before, but it was probably a couple of years ago now. There's an app called 5 Calls. I think it's only for IOS, but you can go to their website at 5calls.org. This is just the most amazing resource. It makes it really easy for you to reach your member of Congress and make your voice heard. And the more progressive, liberal, humanitarian voices that reach out, the better. Do I think that alone will change the world? Absolutely not, but that at least—what 5 Calls does is it writes a script for you. It connects you directly to your representative, and it gives you a really clear script to read or edit, whatever you want to do. And it makes it really just easy. It makes it easy so you can go on autopilot on 5calls.org through their app or their website. So that's something worth checking out if you're feeling like, "What can I do? There's nothing I can do." That's a thing. That's a really tangible thing to do and that you can share widely.
And then one more totally different note and vibe, a little thing I want to mention here—it is Black History Month, and that means that on Ghost of a Podcast, it is Black Love Month, Black Futures Month. And so I'm inviting all my Black listeners to send in questions to the podcast. Make sure to use the hashtag or the words "black love" somewhere in your question or in the title of your email.
And I know it's going to be Valentine's Day this week, the week we're about to talk about in the week ahead. And whether Valentine's Day gives you stress, as it does for so many people, or you are very excited about it, I hope that this Valentine's Day, you center acts of self-love. And when I say self-love, I mean act in ways towards yourself that help you to stay present and honor where you're at and what needs attention with grace, to find flow in it. And in these times, for a lot of people, what that looks like is bearing witness to your grief and your fear, maybe your loneliness.
When we don't recoil from those emotions, when we stay present with those emotions, and when you take it a step further and show yourself love and care and empathy and patience through your challenging feelings, those are acts of self-love. And they don't instantly fix things. I mean, every once in a while, they do. But generally speaking, it's cumulative. It adds up over time. And so I want to invite you to greet your most challenging feelings with as much kindness and empathy as you can, and not only will that make your inner world happier and better over time and in the short term, but it'll make it much easier to extend that same grace towards others.
And if you find that you are showing yourself grace but you're just incredibly impatient and annoyed with everyone around you, that means you probably need to get a little bit more grounded, a little bit more centered, so that you can actually process through your anger, frustration, impatience—whatever it is that's coming up. Having feelings is hard. Navigating love—love as a practice, not just as a feeling, but as a practice—is sometimes really a lot of work. And I think that we have this idea that love is just supposed to be effortless; it's supposed to flow. True love between you and someone else or true love for yourself should be something that just happens. And that's not a thing. I mean, it can be a thing, but in general, love is a choice. Love is an action. Love is a practice.
And my greatest hope for you this week and every fucking week is that you return to that practice so that you can make it bigger and it becomes more of a natural reflex in how you engage with your own thoughts and feelings, how it motivates and supports your behaviors and actions, and of course, how it influences your relationships with other people.
All right. Let's get into this damn horoscope. So we're looking at the astrology of February 9th through the 15th of 2025, and the week starts off with two exact transits, both happening on Sunday, February the 9th. The Sun will be exactly conjoined to Mercury at 21 degrees of Aquarius and zero minutes at 4:08 Pacific Time. And then, shortly thereafter, Mars will be exactly trine to Saturn. Mars will be at 18 degrees of Cancer and 23 minutes, and Saturn will be at the same degrees of Pisces.
If you want to be tracking the transits but this is a lot of data to hold, don't worry; there's always a transcript available on my website over at ghostofapodcast.com. You just find the episode you're looking for, click on Learn More, and then the full transcript and the audio file is there for your use and enjoyment.
Okay. So two transits exact on the same day—keeping in mind that Mars is still Retrograde, right? And Mercury's not retroshading quite yet. Even though we're not looking at a Venus transit, it is worth naming that Venus is retroshading as we speak. Okay. Okay. Let's stay focused. When the Sun sits on top of Mercury, things get kind of exciting. This is a transit where your identity, your will, and your vitality—all governed by the Sun—and your mind, your attitudes, your beliefs, how you communicate, what you communicate, how you listen or not, are merged.
And when it's in the zodiac sign of Aquarius, we know that things are going to be moving fast because it is a fast air sign. It's also fixed. And so, during this transit, you are likely to feel like your opinions are incredibly important. They're not just important because you think them; they're important because you're identified with them. And that, depending on your circumstance, isn't good or bad, but it can certainly get you into conflicts when somebody doesn't agree with you or doesn't understand you. You may take it incredibly personally, or it may be that you're engaging with somebody else, and they are taking it incredibly personally that you don't agree with them or that you don't understand them.
And so this is where the transit of the Sun conjunction to Mercury can really be an ego-testing transit. Now, this is something that I've talked about here and there on the podcast is that Mercury is definitely not related to the ego. It doesn't govern the ego in any kind of a traditional sense. However, I am of the mind that in the modern world that we live in, Mercury gets really looped into our ego because Mercury is so much about who I say I am, who I believe I am. There is a way that our ideas about ourselves and how we communicate, who we are and what we stand for and all that kind of stuff, is such a huge part of how humans function in a digital age. And so I think that we're experiencing new ways that our egos show up through Mercury and that that's something that's evolving within our humanity, something to think about, anyways.
So, when the Sun and Mercury meet, you want to be kind of mindful about how identified you are with your ideas and whether or not that is essentially defensive—and defending yourself and your ideas against who and what, I don't know—or whether or not it's just exciting, interesting, and something that you are adaptable around, because ideally, we want to be adaptable. Now, that doesn't mean don't have strongly held beliefs and attitudes. Yes, please. Yes, please.
However, this transit, the Sun conjunction to Mercury, is meant to kind of stimulate your daily life—right, because Mercury is related to what happens day to day—in such a way that you may need to adapt or question your beliefs or your identity in relationship to your beliefs. You may think of yourself as somebody who's not judgmental but in reality find yourself just judge, judge, judging away, right? It's one of those things where we want to be able to be adaptable when we learn things, whether it's about ourselves or about the world, so that we can either change how we show up and participate or change our attitudes and our beliefs.
The other thing about this transit is that it can be fun. It can be a time where you connect with lots of different people in lots of different ways, that you just have fun run-ins with people—again, online or in meatspace—you're exposed to new ideas, new connections, and it stimulates shifts. Mercury is adaptive, and so is Aquarius. So that's the positive potential of this transit. And certainly, you want to be adaptable because, not just with this transit but the astrology of the whole week, things are likely to change and change quick. And therefore, you may need to change your approach. You may need to change your attitude. You may need to change your opinion or something like that.
And so know this. It is a sign of maturity and growth to adapt. Digging in your heels can be a sign of strength, or it can be a sign of being unwilling and unable to evolve. It depends, right? There's not a hard and fast rule. But these are the kinds of questions we want to be considering during a Sun/Mercury conjunction.
Now, luckily, at the same time, Mars forms a trine to Saturn. This transit is really fortifying. And I think it's really supportive of the Sun/Mercury conjunction, which can devolve into scatteredness or a tripling down on ideas. That's the negative potential. Because Mars is forming a trine to Saturn, you're more likely to be able to make the most of that Sun/Mercury conjunction. The reason for this is that Mars, again, is what you do. It's your motivations. It's your actions. And Mars is in Cancer, and it's Retrograde. And this is a time where, with this Mars Retrograde in Cancer, you may be really turned inward, being like, "How am I safe? How am I not safe? What do I need in order to take care of myself or the situation or this person?"—or whatever it is.
And the trine to Saturn is stabilizing. It empowers you to have a more grounded and realistic assessment of what's actually happening, of what resources you actually have or don't have, what your motivations are, and the best course of action. The best-case scenario with these two transits overlapping is you are inquiring and inquisitive; you are open and willing to learn and adapt, and then you actually follow through. Huzzah, right?
Mars trine to Saturn helps you to get shit done. That's what it does. It helps you to get shit done. And so, whether what needs to be done is material or spiritual, whether it's an internal adjustment or a shift in behavior, this transit is really supportive. So, to the best of your ability, do something. You know what I mean? Do something on and around this date, and if possible, not just an impulsive, reactionary thing—which the rest of this week's astrology is going to inspire you to want to do—but instead something that reflects your actual attitudes and beliefs, something that supports your community, your friendships, your neighbors, your connections with other people.
And let me just point out what may be obvious—or not; I don't know—which is that when we talk about actions, because Mars governs actions and Saturn is very material, actions are often—I get up. I climb on my horse, and we gallop away. Those are a series of actions. Now I'm in a new location. It's a series of actions. But equal to the get up on my horse and gallop away and now being a new location actions are the actions that we take in terms of shifting our coping mechanisms.
When you take action on an emotional, psychological, or spiritual level—all really important levels, especially now—it doesn't necessarily look like you changed or you moved or you got anywhere, not like when I climb up on my horse. Right? And so I want to validate all forms of action. Sometimes the most healthy, radical, loving thing you can do is choosing to do nothing when your habits tell you to do a million things. Choosing against an action is choosing an action.
And it's important to recognize that sometimes the people around you are not able; it's not aligned for them to do a thing at this time. And you may or may not understand why. It's important to not try to control other people but instead to take note of what is or isn't aligned for you and to adapt your thinking—you know, that Mercury/Sun—or your behavior, that Mars/Saturn—accordingly. Capisce? Okay.
Now, that brings us to the jittery part of this week's horoscope. On Monday, February 10th, at exactly 11:28 a.m. Pacific Time, Mercury will be at 23 degrees and 19 minutes of Aquarius, and Uranus will be at the same degrees of Taurus. This transit is a Mercury square to Uranus, and it overlaps with the other two transits that I mentioned. So, as much as possible, you want to tap into those grounding and adaptable energies that I just named because Mercury square Uranus is destabilizing.
Now, I should tell you, because we're friends, that on Tuesday the 11th of February, the Sun will be exactly square to Uranus. The Sun will be at 23 degrees Aquarius and 20 minutes, Uranus ditto in Taurus. That transit will be exact at 11:30 a.m. Pacific Time. This should be no surprise to you, given that Mercury and the Sun were sitting on top of each other on Sunday, right? So it makes sense that they would both form a square to Uranus back to back. These transits overlap with each other, but their exactitude is Monday and Tuesday respectively.
Now, these transits are important. They're upsetting, and there's a lot to say. Mercury is your mind, and Uranus is your nervous system. And when these two transits are in kind of a challenging aspect to each other, which—squares are challenges, right?—what happens is your nervous system can feel really blown out. And this is a big part of what I mentioned earlier. I think a lot of us have been feeling this transit as it builds towards exactitude. There's so much happening in the world, so many scary things. We're all being fed all this data, rapid fire, all day, every day, and we're taking in this data alone. So, even if you are already processing information with other people, you're getting the news—and Uranus/Mercury is very related to news, whether it's gossip or live from a news source kind of news—you're taking this news alone, right? You're being bombarded.
Mercury square Uranus can represent a time when your nervous system is just like, "Fuck this shit." So, if you've been feeling overwhelmed, if you've been feeling exhausted, if you've been having a hard time relating to other people, if you've been feeling burned out, first of all, you and me both. You are not alone. And second of all, this transit is going to give you a damn run for your money because this transit brings up upsets, excitement, provocation. And if you're already on the fucking verge of just snapping towards yourself, towards others, yeah, this transit could make you feel pretty brittle.
Oftentimes, under this influence, a person gets bad news. Or it's not necessarily bad news; it's upsetting news. So it's not necessarily something that is ultimately bad. It is something that is ultimately destabilizing, and it shifts your thoughts. It shifts your plans. It shifts your expectations. And again, that's upsetting. Upsetting is not inherently bad at all, though it can be. What you want to be able to do when encountering upsets is remain open so you can take in data and then assess. And after you assess, adapt. Easier said than done, especially when we're living through a period of shock and awe.
Because of the erratic and overstimulating nature of this transit, what tends to happen is mistakes. You say a thing in a way that you think is really supportive, and it comes off really—I don't know—rude, pedantic, whatever. Wires get crossed during this transit. It's not Mercury Retrograde—not at all. It's Mercury square Uranus. So that means it's more sharp. It's more unpredictable, and it happens quickly, right? It happens quickly.
The best potential of this transit is that it can be radicalizing. It can open you up to really different perspectives and potentials. This transit can empower you to learn new things in new ways, to try new things, to approach your ideas, your life—whatever—differently because Uranus is difference, right? And that can lead to revolutionary potential. Not so bad, eh? The key is to be open-minded, to notice where your own fixed energy—because, of course, Mercury is in Aquarius—fixed energy. Uranus is in Taurus—again, fixed energy. So to notice where your own fixed energy is and to really check in—is that helpful? Is that useful in this moment or not? Sometimes it is; sometimes it isn't. Energy is energy. We always want to check in with it and remember that energy can adapt—maybe not easily, maybe not quickly, but it can adapt.
Now, again, this transit and the Sun/Uranus square—things tend to happen quick. So don't forget to breathe. Don't forget to breathe. Don't forget to breathe. And then, after you do a little breathing, maybe reread it. Check for tone before you hit Send on that text or email. Maybe if you realize the way you said the thing you said or whatever was a little off, you can be like, "Oh, sorry. Having a stressful day. Boop. Didn't mean it in the way it came across. I want to acknowledge"—blah, blah, blah. What I'm saying is it is not a show of weakness to acknowledge if you've been impulsive, if you've brought your burnout or your overall to someone else's feet.
Okay. Now, that said, as I mentioned, the Sun is also square to Uranus. Again, this transit is upsetting. Uranus brings about upsets. That's what she does. And this transit requires, again, adaptability and flexibility, which you may or may not have, given that (a) life is lifing, (b) we are dealing with fixed-sign energies. Oftentimes, under this transit, you'll feel just like, again, your nervous system is all tweaked out. And when your nervous system is tweaked out, it can make you feel like something bad is going to come, like you're just waiting for the other foot to fall. And that may or may not be what is about to happen. But it is really important under these two transits to make sure that you are taking care of your tender nervous system.
Your nervous system is something that needs care and support, like your teeth. Your nervous system needs care and maintenance and hygiene, too. And this week is going to rattle your cage enough that you will get some feedback about where your nervous system is at. And if you are like me and so many others, you already know. Your nervous system is kind of like, "Please. No more. Go away."
But whether it's fair or not, whether we like it or not, reality has a funny way of persisting. And so we, too, must persist. Finding ways of coping with however you feel, wherever you find yourself, is really important, and it's an act of love and kindness towards yourself and everything and everyone you touch. So do your best to be open to learning more about yourself and other people and to adapt.
This transit can coincide with unexpected conflicts, unexpected upsets. That's not inherently, again, violent or aggressive or bad. Here's the "but." The "but" is humans will often react explosively, defensively, unpredictably when these kinds of upsets show up in their lives. And so this is where you can have something like road rage, or you can have something like somebody just taking out their whole fucking stressful life on someone who cut them off in traffic.
When I look at the astrology of these two transits and the Full Moon, which I'm about to tell you about, which is also very Uranian, I know to expect the unexpected. And I want to encourage you to do the same. This is a time where things can go really unexpectedly in ways that make you very happy or make you very unhappy. It's hard to predict. That's fucking Uranus for you. Uranus is hard to predict.
Uranus governs revolution, rebellion. So these transits can light a spark of people coming together to push back against oppressive powers that be, or it can be a different kind of revolution. It can be a white Christian nationalist revolution. This is the thing about looking at the astrology of a period. Because we are promised rebellion and revolution, a rewriting of so many of our stories, we are not promised that it will go in one direction or another, that it will please you or me or them.
And in that, there's a lot to be scared of, but there's also direction. Stay engaged. Participate. Do your best to come together with other people because we're talking about Aquarius. We're talking about Uranus. It's about community and groups of people. It's about coming together with other people and pooling our collective power. I don't know what's going to happen this week, but I expect it to be a little unpredictable, a little all over the place.
And if you are inspired to get involved with a group, to move the needle in some way or another, do it, ideally with clarity of motivation—that Mars/Saturn trine—ideally in ways that reflect your values—Uranus is in Taurus—because, as I was saying, there may be some scary behaviors from people who are at their wits' end. The actions that people tend to take during Uranus transits are impulsive. Think back to your most impulsive behaviors. They might have been spectacular in a positive way or a negative way, but they always have unintended consequences, right? And those unintended consequences may be lovely or not.
None of this is inherently bad. But mindfulness, clarity of intent, being aligned with your values is much appreciated, I would say. Don't be scared of change, or you know what? If you want to be scared of change, be scared of change. I'm a big fan of being scared of things—things that are scary. I think that's okay. It's about not letting that fear overtake you so that you lose access to your other resources, your better wisdom, your ability to connect to nature and people and actions.
Okay. I hope you're not bored about hearing about Uranus because I got more for you. On Wednesday, February the 12th, we have a Full Moon in Leo, where the Sun will be at exactly 24 degrees and 6 minutes of Aquarius sitting opposite to the Moon at the same degrees of Leo. That's a Full Moon in Leo. It'll be exact at 5:53 a.m. If you are looking to clear your crystals because they've been doing triple duty—they've been hanging out in your pants trying to help you stay grounded and clear your stress and all the shit of the world—it's a great time to clear your crystals. You just make sure they're sitting outside or in a windowsill at the time of exactitude. It's a very simple action. We clear during a Full Moon. And then, if you want to charge them up, there's lots of ways of doing it, but you can use the energy and vibes of the New Moon in a couple weeks. But for now, we're clearing because it's a damn Full Moon.
So, as I said, the Moon is full February 12th, 5:53 a.m. Pacific. And there's a lot to say here. The Sun and Mercury are sitting on top of each other. The Sun is at 24 degrees and 6 minutes, and Mercury is at 26 degrees and 29 minutes of Aquarius, so about two degrees apart, and they're both opposite the Moon. Now, what this does is it elongates and intensifies the effects of the Sun/Mercury conjunction, the Full Moon, and the squares between Uranus, Mercury, and the Sun while also bringing the Moon into the damn mix.
Having the Full Moon, with Mercury hanging out by the Sun, form a T-square to Uranus is a lot. This is likely to be a pretty radical Full Moon. Things are going to change. I don't know what that means. Again, Uranus is unpredictable in nature. That is its literal nature. But we do know that the tension—and I'm referring to tension because Full Moons are oppositions, and oppositions are inherently tense, which, much like the word "upsetting," I want to be really clear when I use it.
"Tension" and "upset"—two very Uranian concepts and, to a less degree, Mercurial concepts—they make a lot of people get freaked out, but they're not inherently bad. Tension is what's needed in order to have good sex with someone or want to date them. Tension is what's needed in order to follow through on an idea and make shit happen. So tension can be like, "Oh, I feel tense, and I'm grinding my teeth, and everything's hard," or tension can be like, "I really am excited about this thing, and I feel it, and I'm motivated by it." The tension between Leo and Aquarius is the tension between being in your head versus being in your heart. It's the tension between me and my personal connections, my personal heartfelt connections, and us and our community-based connections.
This Full Moon is likely to kick up major issues around belonging and safety and alignment within your heart in a really personal way and for you in the world with community or communities because most of us are connected to many communities in our personal lives, in our professional lives. But then, also, we all have multiple identities, and each of those identities are connected to other people who share our identities. So we're part of these larger communities. A Full Moon in Leo forming a T-square to Uranus with Mercury in the mix—that's going to create a lot of energy and change around these themes.
This Full Moon may be revolutionary. It really may be. And again, revolution happens on so many levels, from social and very public to personal and very private. You may choose really intentionally to participate, or you may feel thrust into circumstances that force your hand, so you have to adapt; you have to engage. This is the nature of the times we find ourselves in, and this is the nature of this Full Moon.
Because the Moon is full in Leo, it's important to remember to tend to your feelings. Leo is a deeply heartfelt sign, and its courage comes from the heart. Leo can be so bold, but the reason why it's bold is because it's heartfelt fire. And so whatever actions you do or don't take, may they come from the fullness of your heart, and may they be authentic. So much of what all these fixed-sign energies are about are authenticity and alignment. When we double down and get fixed on things that are not aligned, life is really hard to live.
So make sure that you are being true to yourself. And if you don't know what true to yourself means in a given situation or in this moment, create space in your life to emotionally explore it, not just emotionally, but analytically exploring things doesn't require quite as much space as emotionally processing. Digestion happens at the pace that it happens at. And when it comes to the Moon in astrology, we're not just talking about our feelings. We are, but we're not just talking about our feelings. We're talking about how we digest and process through our feelings, which is often really slow and at a very different pace than our mind—Mercury—or our nervous system—Uranus—might process things.
This is a powerful Full Moon for collaborating with others. That may be joining a meditation group where you're all meditating at the same moment. It might mean joining something like 5 Calls, where a ton of people are using this tool and resource to have our voices heard. It might mean any number of things. But having heartfelt connections with yourself, with what's important to you, and others, whether it's one-on-one or in groups, is a big part of what this Full Moon is pointing you towards. This Full Moon is going to bring about change. It's revolutionary. It's rebellious. And it's going to bring about progress. Whose progress in what direction—that's the big TBD.
Now, I don't talk about the Nodes in a predictive way a whole bunch. That's just not something I do in my practice very much. But I will say that Neptune is sitting right on top of the North Node in Pisces. They're 1 degree and 5 minutes apart. They're very close, okay? And this, to me, is worth paying attention to because it speaks to religious extremism. It speaks to the potential of spirituality being a resource that can help you to navigate your material life and the choices you make. It can equally speak to using spirituality as a tool for destruction or disassociation, escapism. And so this Full Moon really requires you to be present in your body because within your body, you can stay in the practice of having healthy boundaries.
And a huge resource that you have for living in alignment, for centering heartfelt actions, even in spite of your fears, is your boundaries. It's knowing what you can and can't do in a healthy way. It's showing up with other people who are messy—they're messy, you're messy, we're messy, right?—and doing so in a way that is sustainable for you. When you have healthy boundaries, you can be in community with other people who you disagree with. You can tolerate disagreement. And not all disagreements should be tolerated, obvi, but having healthy boundaries means you don't throw away connections just because of disagreement, just because of the fact of disagreement. Sometimes, when you disagree with someone, it's an opportunity for them to grow. Sometimes it's an opportunity for you to grow. A lot of times, everybody gets to grow.
But whenever I look at Neptune, I know that Neptune very much governs spirituality and escapism, anxiety—all these really big things. But for me, Neptune is always about boundaries Because if we're being mindful of religious extremism, which includes the New Age woo-woo to white supremacy pipeline—if we're being mindful there, the way to not lose yourself is by practicing healthy boundaries and making sure that whoever you choose to trust or be open with spiritually and emotionally doesn't require you to abandon your boundaries, to trample over boundaries, needs, and rights of others.
This Full Moon is likely to provoke a breakthrough. And sometimes, when you have a breakthrough, you break the fuck down, especially if your nervous system is all tweaked out and you're already overwhelmed and just kind of on your last straw. So spend the early part of this week fortifying yourself, grounding yourself. Perhaps this means committing or recommitting to healthy online practices.
Earlier today, on my Patreon, we were talking about how to consume news and how to do so in a way that's sustainable. And somebody there was talking about how newsletters is their way of staying informed without constantly doomscrolling. And while I do engage with newsletters, I hadn't really thought of it that way before, like, "Oh. There's a way to completely step away from doomscrolling." That's revolutionary for me. I don't know about you.
The point is being inquisitive and open—Sun/Mercury conjunction opposite the Moon square to Uranus. Be open. Be inquisitive and adaptive. And that may lead to a meaningful breakthrough for you. That breakthrough may be really subtle. It may be super fucking dramatic. It may be that something breaks through in the world; something really changes. Something really shifts in the world, and that forces you to adapt, to shift, to meet the moment.
The Moon is full in Leo. Remember the strength and resiliency of your heart. Leo is a procreative sign. It is all about creation. What can you do that is generative? How can you connect to who and what you love and not just react to what you fear? This Full Moon is inviting you to meaningfully explore those questions and to not just do it theoretically—although, of course, Mercury and Uranus are involved—but to do it with your whole self—the Sun—and the wholeness of your heart—the Moon.
These are deeply challenging and triggering times. I mean, they just are. And in that, each and every one of us must adapt. We must change. So it's not shocking to me with this Full Moon is all about adapting and changing. You may need to yield. You may need to push forward. And you may not know what the fuck to do. All of that is okay. Don't forget that this is a Lunar transit. It is an invocation of your heart. And your heart is such an important part of you. It's an important part of everything you do.
So many people have to go to work and leave their heart at home because it doesn't feel safe to feel what you're feeling and to be emotionally real. That's hard. How do you need to adapt so that you can support yourself in that? Is there a shift in attitude? Are there resources you could tap into? I don't have the answer for each and every person's personal situations, but I certainly know that this Full Moon is meant to push things forward, which—again, upsetting, tense, unpredictable. But this is what progress comes from. It's the advancement of inquiry. It's shifting the ways in which we show up. It's centering who and what we love, even as our fears want us to center defensiveness and to shut down our heart and our empathy and our ability to create, build, and maintain community because we are always stronger together.
One more thing I'm going to say about this Full Moon—it can be really disruptive for your personal relationships. And so, if all these upsets emerge and you find yourself in conflict with other people, do your best—and this is not going to be easy, but to really listen to what other people are saying, whether or not they're listening to you, because if somebody is showing you clearly with their actions that they're not listening to you, that's important information for you to have that empowers you to adapt, to shift your expectations or your behavior with that person.
This transit—and not just this one. All these Uranian transits are meant to rattle your cage, which means they're going to rattle everyone's cage. And you can't control what happens. You can't control who other people are or how they show up or not. But you can take accountability for how you participate. So do your best to really listen to others and to have open and honest conversations. And if you can't do either or both of those things, own it. Just own it.
Being open-hearted, embracing that Full Moon in Leo, doesn't mean being perfect. It doesn't mean being flawless. It means having enough love for yourself and others, for your process and for the process of being in this world, to be able to hold that with an open heart, with love, with humor. That's powerful. That's powerful. And it doesn't mean you don't feel vulnerable and scared. It means you stay open with love in spite of your fear, alongside your fear. That's the move. That's the move this week and every damn week, but this week's astrology is certainly pointing all of us in that direction.
And that, my dears, is this week in the stars. I'm going to run through these transits one more time. We've got, on the 9th, a Sun conjunction to Mercury and Mars trine to Saturn. On the 10th, Mercury forms an exact square to Uranus. On the 11th, the Sun forms an exact square to Uranus. And then, on the 12th, we got a Full Moon in Leo forming a T-square to—yep—Uranus.
I want to thank you so much for joining me this week and every damn week and for all of your, for the most part, loving and wonderful feedback that I got after last week's episode. So thank you, thank you, thank you for all of that. I hope you take really good care of yourself and others, and I'll talk to you in just a couple of days. Bye.
