Weekly Overview
10.23-29.2024
Sorry for the missing horoscope last week, I got sick with Covid and had to take the week off.
The astrology of this week is likely to have you feeling all over the place! It starts off with some deep and ruminating energy thanks to the Sun squared to Pluto. By week's end, you’re likely to be feeling a struggle between prioritizing your safety and security and your freedom and drive for adventure thanks to Venus squared to Saturn, as well as a Mercury opposition to Uranus. If things feel chaotic, the best thing to do is to get present and identify what is authentic for you. You may need to identify your priorities and make sure that your actions are reflecting them. For more on this week's astrology, listen to episode 472 of my weekly astrology and advice show below, or wherever podcasts are heard. You can read the transcript here.
What do you need to let go of, Aries? Whether it’s insecurities, old fears, relationships, or habits, this week the astrology is meant to push you in the direction of easing what doesn’t serve you. Do your best to be forthright instead of unconsciously picking fights with people so that you have an excuse to act out. You don’t need to justify your needs, only honor them with empathy and clarity.
As a Venus-ruled sign, making decisions can be really hard for you, especially because you have a tendency to dig in your heels once you have adopted a course of action. This week, your assignment is to identify what is most authentic for you and to prioritize acting in ways that reflect that self-awareness. Just because it’s overwhelming or intimidating doesn’t mean that you’re on the wrong path. Be brave and trust yourself, Taurus.
You’re changing, Twin Star, and that means that it’s on you to clarify what your evolving boundaries are, what you’re going to do next, and what you hope or expect from others. Don’t expect other people to evolve in the ways that you are—this is a time for you to communicate and allow space for other people to process what you’ve shared in their own way and on their own timelines.
It is a sign of wisdom to question your surroundings and yourself. It’s a way to stay humble, curious, and to catch yourself before you go too far down the wrong path. That said, this is only true when it’s done in proportion. This week you may catch yourself descending into so much self-doubt and uncertainty that you lose the thread of what’s important and risk abandoning yourself in the process. Strive to get and stay grounded in the present moment, Moonchild.
This week it’s in your best interest to take your fears and concerns seriously. This is not an invitation to get paranoid; instead, it’s a gentle reminder that you have choices and that it’s in your best interest to be realistic and well-informed about what you’re considering, your motivations, and the impact that your actions or lack of actions will have on yourself and the people around you.
This is not the time to jump to conclusions. Do your best to steady your mind by slowing down your activities, getting grounded, and seeking the patterns that are playing themselves out in your life at this time. The one common denominator in all of your life experiences is you; make sure that you are behaving in ways that reflect who you are and what you want instead of your habits, insecurities and fears, Virgo.
Commit to the people and things that you love and believe in, Libra. This week, you’re likely to be presented with challenges, but they are just opportunities for you to explore your commitments from different angles. This is not a great time for changing streams just because the waters are getting choppy. Instead, honor your commitments and the contents of your heart by trusting yourself and your path.
Life is complicated! If you are feeling both open and excited, and also sad and scared, it’s confusing but it’s also human. This week is likely to confront you with a big mess of emotions that are hard to parse through. Instead of trying to find a fix, tap into your inner truth, your willingness to access hope, and your creativity. From these places inside of yourself, you will be able to cope with whatever comes up.
If you’re trying to make a decision but not sure what to do, ask yourself this important question: Are you listening? You may find that you haven’t really been listening to what other people have to say or even to your own inner voice. Do your best to slow down your internal chatter or maybe even the tempo of your day-to-day life so that you can tap in and ask yourself whether you’re taking in the resources available to you.
If you’ve been overwhelmed lately, the best way to cope with it is by nurturing yourself as well as your circumstances. You have a tendency to get businesslike when what you need is TLC, so do what you can this week to support and encourage yourself and others through whatever challenges you find yourself faced with. This may appear to slow you down, but it’s better to do it right than to create problems that will ultimately slow you down.
Sometimes you just don’t get what you want in life, and as frustrating as that can be, it’s not necessarily a sign. This week, you would be wise to take things at face value instead of attaching a huge amount of meaning to upsets and disappointments. There is a risk that you will psych yourself out and make things worse as an unconscious reaction to your discomfort with sitting with challenging emotions. Do your best to process your emotions emotionally, Aquarius.
The last thing you should do is rush yourself. This week it’s time for you to slow down and tap into your inner wisdom. This can be achieved by considering the life lessons that you’ve learned through past experiences. This isn’t the time to be theoretical, divorced from your own lived experiences. Notice the patterns in your life and do your best to own your part with integrity, Pisces.
