Weekly Overview

06.12-18.2024

This week starts off with a challenging square between Mercury and Saturn and ends with a square between Mercury and Neptune. This means that it’s an important time to address your anxieties and strive to cope with them in constructive ways. How you manage your mental health, invest in relationships, and the flexibility and adaptability of your thinking are all worthy of your inquiry this week. For a more detailed explanation of what to expect from the astrology of the week, listen to my twice-weekly podcast below, or read the transcripts here.

The things that are stressing you out are the same things that need your care and attention, Aries. You don’t need to address every struggle in your life as a problem that needs to be fixed. Instead, seek to reflect on what you feel and need, allowing both your emotions and your situation to reveal themselves to you when it’s time. The best way to rise to the occasion is by cultivating equilibrium, patience and care for yourself and others this week.

It’s important that you feel your feelings, no matter how vulnerable tapping into the truth of what is activated within you may be. This week it’s important that you nurture yourself instead of push yourself too hard. It is healthy and helpful to be present for your emotions without trying to change them, even though it’s hard. If you can release your attachment to proving that you’re okay, you can better support yourself so that you’re actually okay, Taurus.

Believe in yourself, Twin Star. This week your assignment is very clear: have faith in yourself.  And as an expression of that—have and hold your boundaries with clarity. If you have an accurate appraisal of what you can and cannot do, you can use your energy wisely and efficiently. This isn’t the time to over or under-estimate what you’re capable of. Pace yourself as you mobilize with confidence for best results.

This week is all about laying foundations, Moonchild. If you find yourself obsessing on things that are out of your control—that are way in the future or firmly in the past—you can know that you are on the wrong track. In the here and now you are able to do things that will maintain or improve your life. The key is to identify the things that will maintain or improve your life so that you’re able to devote your precious energy and attention to them.

If you’ve been feeling overwhelmed and burdened, this is a good time to tap into gratitude. You can make a gratitude list or strive to focus your thoughts on what you do have and what you can be grateful for. This will empower you to have greater resilience, and that extra bounce in your energy will empower you to get things done with greater joy and ease. Strive to co-create instead of powering through, Leo.

Tend to your relationships this week, Virgo. If you are concerned that something is wrong, don’t ruminate and obsess. That will only make things worse. Strive to create space to move through your thoughts, feelings and concerns, and then bring them to the dynamics that you’re concerned about. Just make sure that you truly listen to what others have to say, whether you like it or not. Intimacy requires a two-way street.

Have faith in yourself, Libra. This week you are likely to feel challenged as you move through old patterns in new ways with greater self-awareness and emotional resiliency than you’ve had before. Take your time so that you can be mindful of your impulses and intentional with your actions. The key is to become more aligned with yourself, especially when you’re most inclined to look outside of yourself for answers and give your power away.

As much as it may be driving you bananas, you simply don’t have enough information to go on yet, Scorpio. You may be feeling ready to move forward and start something new, but if you don’t have clarity—you’re not. Instead of being in such a rush to get or create results, strive to be curious about your situation and circumstances. By doing this, you can stay in the present and not miss out on all that it has to offer you.

Feeling out of control can be really awful, and yet it is an inevitable part of life. This week is not the time to try to fix, corral, or control matters. Instead, it’s time for you to get anchored in your own center, Sagittarius. By doing so, you will get the benefit of your own resiliency and strength and be able to cultivate greater clarity and emotional presence so that you can face whatever comes head-on, and with an open heart.

You don’t have to do it all alone, Capricorn. This week you may be feeling the consequences of having overdone it or taken on more than you can handle in a healthy way. It’s not just okay to ask for help, it’s wise! Turn to people who care about you, who have more experience, and who have energy to share. Seeking wise counsel and support isn’t a sign of weakness—it’s a sign of growth and maturity.

It’s time to let go, Aquarius. You are changing and the only way to make room for something bigger and better to come in is by letting go of your attachments to the beliefs, behaviors, and even relationships that you have long since outgrown. Change—even when it’s an improvement—can be really challenging. As you discover where you’re enmeshed, you’ll discover what you need to let go of.

People and situations are always revealing themselves to you, and it’s important that you pay attention to what they’re saying. You may find yourself in dynamics where you are surprised by how people are behaving or what they’re saying. In either case, it’s important that your ideas about a relationship or a person don’t override your actual lived experience. Be willing to adapt as you get more information about your situation, even if you’re not a huge fan of what you learn.
